The whiskies in Chivas Brothers portfolio are consistently award winning, attracting accolades from some of the most prestigious and influential international awards bodies in the world. Most recently, Chivas Brothers was awarded Distillery of the Year by the IWSC in 2006. This is the third time Chivas Brothers have been awarded this coveted industry award.
Although many of our Scotch whiskies have won medals, we have highlighted the brands that have recently won Gold Medals and Trophies at the ISC and IWSC presentations. You can find out more about these awards when you go to our shop and click on a particular brand.
The International Spirits Challenge
The International Spirits Challenge is highly regarded by the whisky industry as an awards scheme of integrity and authority. The judges are all respected industry members - master distillers and master blenders - who must achieve unanimity for an award to be made.
Awards are made on merit, based on blind tasting, with a trophy being the highest achievement, and a gold medal second highest.

The International Wine & Spirit Competition
The International Wines & Spirits Competition is a major achievement representing a benchmark of excellence from the premier competition of its kind in the world, held annually for the last 25 years, to reward outstanding quality among the world's best wines, spirits and liqueurs.
The awards operate on an Olympic system, presenting one Gold, one Silver and one Bronze in each tasting category. To be awarded is an outstanding achievement as it is such a gruelling judging system, comprising blind-tasting & chemical analysis.
Spirit of Speyside Whisky Awards
Introduced at the 2005 Festival with Whisky Magazine support, over the last 3 years it has developed into a prestigious feature of the Festival. Again the dedicated team at Whisky Live in London in March selected the six finalists and for the first time there were six dedicated events throughout Speyside during the Festival specifically to choose the winners.
There are three categories 12 years old and under, 13 to 20 years old and 21 years old. This year The Glenlivet 12 Year Old won the 12 years and under category.
