TROPHY FOR ‘5 STAR’ THE GLENLIVET 18 YEAR OLD 2006
‘The single malt that started it all’ is celebrating a stellar performance at this year’s International Spirits Challenge.  The Glenlivet 18 Year Old has been awarded a coveted Trophy at the 2006 awards at the gala dinner held at The Dorchester Hotel, London on 27 September.

Leading whisky writer Dave Broom describes The Glenlivet 18 year old as ‘A superb, complex dram – 5 stars’ in his Handbook of Whisky.  It is a sublime symphony of luscious concentrated fruit and floral fragrance. The nose intrigues with the promise of perfectly ripe pears. The palate is an exquisite medley of fudge and spiced orange with light oak undertones. The finish lingers delicately balancing toast-like and vanilla notes.

The Glenlivet 18 Year Old was awarded a gold medal in the Single Malts between 13 and 20 Years Old category for the second year running. The Glenlivet is the number two malt whisky in the world and number one malt whisky in the US.

TROPHY CONFIRMS THE GLENLIVET AS ONE OF THE WORLD’S BEST EVER WHISKIES
The Glenlivet has been awarded the highest accolade in the prestigious International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) 2005, announced at the recent Vinexpo: The Morrison Bowman Distillers Trophy winner for Single Malt Whisky (Over 12 Years Old) The Glenlivet 21 Year Old Archive.

Part of premium Scotch whisky company Chivas Brothers portfolio, The Glenlivet also received two gold medals and six silver medals in these awards.

INTERNATIONAL SPIRITS CHALLENGE (ISC) 2005
Chivas Brothers celebrated winning Gold medals for the fourth year in a row at the ISC 2005. Gold medal wins included the most recent release from its renowned Cellar Collection range of rare, aged malts, The Glenlivet 1964 Cellar Collection.

The Glenlivet 21 Year Old has also won one of only three trophies awarded at the first ever Whisky Magazine Best of Speyside Awards. Selected following a series of ‘blind tastings’ hosted in New York and in Speyside, it was declared one of Speyside’s top three single malts.
