ABERLOUR SCOOPS GOLD ACROSS THREE EXPRESSIONS - 2006

Chivas Brothers, the premium Scotch whisky and gin company, is enjoying another golden moment after scooping two gold medals at the 2006 International Spirits Challenge (ISC) and two gold medals at the 2006 International Wine & Spirits Competition (IWSC) for its single male Aberlour.

Aberlour won gold medals at the ISC for both its 10YO single malt and 12YO Double Cask Matured, mirroring its success in last year’s competition and highlighting Aberlour’s consistently high quality standards.  Aberlour 10 Year Old also won gold at the IWSC alongside its 16 Year Old Double Cask Matured.

WHISKY MAGAZINE BEST OF SPEYSIDE AWARDS – 2005

Aberlour 10 Year Old was declared as one of Speyside’s top three single malt whiskies, winning one of only three trophies awarded at the first ever Whisky Magazine Best of Speyside Awards.  Aberlour 10 Year Old was named the Best Speyside Whisky 12 Year Old and Under.

DOUBLE SUCCESS FOR GOLDEN SPIRIT ABERLOUR – 2005

Premium Scotch whisky company Chivas Brothers were in high spirits after collecting two gold medals for leading single malt Aberlour at the 2005 International Spirits Challenge (ISC).  The gold medals were awarded for:  Aberlour 10 Year Old Single Malt and Aberlour 12 Year Old Double Cask Matured.

Commenting on Aberlour’s success at the ISC, chairman of the judges Ian Grieve said. “The awards are tremendously hotly contested, with a very high standard across the board, especially this year”.  He continued, “The essence of all these medal-winning whiskies is their consistently high quality from year to year.  Achieving gold again each year is exceptional and shows the outstanding quality that characterises the Aberlour range”.

ABERLOUR 10 YEAR OLD WINS PRESTIGOUS IWSC 2003 TROPHY

Aberlour won the prestigious trophy for ‘Best Single Malt Whisky under 12 Years Old’ for award winning Aberlour 10 Year Old at the International Wine & Spirits Competition 2003.  This outstanding achievement reaffirms Chivas Brothers’ position as the world’s leading malt whisky producers.

It is the eighth gold medal and third trophy Aberlour has won at the IWSC over the years, reflecting the consistently excellent quality of this whisky.  Matured in rare sherry butts and bourbon casks, Aberlour 10 Year Old reflects the perfect balance of flavours for which the Aberlour range is renowned.
