During August and September this year we are offering very special tours at Longmorn and Allt-a-Bhainne Distilleries. This is a rare opportunity for whisky enthusiasts to venture behind the scenes of two very different distilleries not usually open to the public. Each quite different in character and location, but both are very much ‘Speyside’ at heart.
TOUR DETAILS:
Each distillery is limited to one tour per week with a maximum of 16 guests and tickets must be pre-booked. To find out more about the tours or wish to make a booking please call or email.

LONGMORN
In the summer Longmorn Distillery is surrounded by an ocean of golden barley fields and the mild climate of the Laich of Moray provides a gentle environment that helps to make this fine single malt whisky so special. It has been described as the holy grail of malt whiskies, and its secret has been guarded and kept alive by generations of whisky lovers.
Longmorn produces a "Cherished by connoisseurs, but not widely known. Admired for its complexity, its combination of smoothness and fullness of character and from its big bouquet to its long finish,"
Michael Jackson, Malt Whisky Companion

ALLT-A-BHAINNE
Allt-a-Bhainne Distillery is located in the beautiful and lonely valley of Glenrinnes. In August the purple heather comes into full bloom making a spectacular back drop for distillery. This graceful modern building built in 1975 with local red granite and slate, sits comfortably with the historic scenery. The distillery takes its name from the Allt-a-Bhainne river, which is Gaelic for ‘the burn of milk’ . There are some thirteen springs around the site that provide the distillery with its characteristic water. Allt-a-Bhainne produces light floral malt that is used exclusively for blending.
